Strategy

Restoring nature and soil, preserving a natural area and promoting the transition to a more regenerative society. How to do that?

By developing a regenerative landscape, and in the middle of that landscape you inspire people and offer education, around regenerative living. Where they can feel it, taste it and experience it and start to grow. This transition that you stimulate through individual experience and through connection. On all levels.

At VELD , regeneration is present holistically: all facilities and educational offerings - as well as the internal design of the organization and collaborations are designed completely regenerative. In doing so, we place additional focus on 4 pillars.

1

Nature & Soil Restoration

On 10 acres or more, we restore at least 75% nature; a maximum of 1.5 acres is for development & facilities. With ecologists and landscape developers, we implement a site-specific plan that supports natural processes and gives nature room to recover. We monitor, measure, report and direct where necessary. We open the area to everyone as soon as possible, preserving the natural area for future generations. This is guaranteed in the bylaws. The land can no longer be traded or sold.

Personal Regeneration

2

We facilitate recreation in restorative nature. This reduces stress, improves mental clarity and emotional well-being through deep nature connection. Participation in regenerative activities and workshops promotes personal health, well-being and awareness, leading to more sustainable living and personal growth.

Inspiration & Education

3

We inspire visitors by taking them into our regenerative environment and methods. By participating in regenerative activities and workshops, visitors actively learn how to apply regenerative practices in their lives. This promotes knowledge and positivity about a lifestyle in harmony with nature, gives hope and encourages change and taking personal action. Which facilitates change on a communal level and the transition to a regenerative society. We offer some of our recreational and educational offerings for free or at cost so that everyone has access to VELDs offerings.

Connection & Community

4

We connect like-minded people and nurture the VELD community by welcoming and engaging everyone. By forming a community around regenerative practices, we strengthen connections between people and nature, contributing to a more regenerative future for both the local environment and society.

Approach

Before VELD is a reality, we have many steps to take.

Right now we are coming out of the preparation phase and are actively looking for investors and a location to start up.

After this, there will be some major steps, including additional financing, before VELD can open its doors. Below is our plan in outline.

Location & 1st round of funding

We are currently working on obtaining a site and funding pitch costs on sites and a (part) of that site purchase. In addition, we are exploring partnership opportunities.

When we are about to obtain a location, the concept and financial plans are sharpened.

2nd round of funding

The moment we can purchase a site, additional financing will likely be needed.

The goal is through a second round of funding - aimed at both (professional) investors, funds and consumers - to raise the remaining amount needed.

A first start on site

As soon as we set foot on location, we immediately start building the company's first facilities in order to "light" open as soon as possible. What that looks like depends on the location.

We are also developing a final area vision and starting nature restoration. We are attracting the first staff and instappartners and further developing the brand.

Development & next funding

As we start up on site, we finalize further development plans.

And focus on the next two rounds of financing: to fund the eventual planned facilities and opening + working capital, so we can work towards a fully operational, official opening.

Doors open!

The goal is to be fully operational no more than 2 years after site startup - sooner if possible. We the coming years as a successful regenerative recreation destination that we want to be.

During these years, space forms to start opening more locations and stare down the regenerative recreation network.

Sharpening & protection

Although we will always evolve ourselves so that we make the greatest impact socially and environmentally, 20-30 years after we start up on location, we really go into depth.

What does society demand now, what is needed ecologically now? And how do we best respond to this? In any case, we protect the natural area for future generations.

The Network

Establishing a network of regenerative recreation sites such as VELD provides a unique opportunity to support regenerative entrepreneurship and increase our collective impact. This network not only strengthens the position of VELD, but also accelerates the transition to a regenerative society. Together we are stronger! It is not about scaling up one place, but about creating a bigger picture: a network of smaller, independent businesses that support each other where necessary.

When VELD starts distributing profits, it will be possible to invest part of those profits in the development of new regenerative recreation sites. In this way, the network grows and we increase our collective impact - within the boundaries of VELD and beyond. In doing so, we use our accumulated experience and expertise to support other initiatives.

This network is valuable for everyone: for entrepreneurs, it provides access to collaboration and knowledge sharing, while visitors have the opportunity to discover other authentic and regenerative places. A true win-win, where together we build a more sustainable and regenerative future.
