Concept
VELD will be a place where people stay, learn, grow and enjoy themselves in harmony with nature. Exactly what VELD will look like depends on the final location and the ecological & social issues in the area.
What is certain is that you will soon be able to go to VELD for a lazy vacation, a nice long family weekend, a hike or a glass of natural wine. In addition, VELD will offer courses, retreats and small events focused on living in greater harmony with nature, and we will provide space for communities to come together.
Always with a positive impact on people, nature and the environment.
VELD country: exuberant nature
The landscape - preferably between 10 and 100 hectares - will soon consist largely of (lots of!) new nature that - with our help where necessary - is re-wilding . We contribute to the ecological needs of the area and are happy to take visitors on a tour of the area. There is also a picking flower meadow, herb garden, natural playground and regenerative farm for visitors to enjoy and use. The landscape and many of the natural facilities are accessible to everyone. So you don't have to stay at VELD to enjoy the area.
VELD spaces: regeneration in motion
Throughout the year, our practical and inspiring regenerative methods can be admired on the grounds.
With various courses and events for young and old, we invite everyone to work on the theme of regenerative living themselves, for different levels. For example, a workshop in no-waste cooking or making flower garlands. But also a rewilding course or a multi-day permaculture training.
We host these in our creative spaces or professional kitchen. We also use these for other purposes, such as a micro bakery from the neighborhood providing delicious breakfast right away, or a guest offering such as cooking courses or rentals for a fine yoga or painting session. Thus, we use the spaces for the guests of VELD as well as the environment.
VELD retreat: immersed in regenerative opulence
Guests stay overnight in unique wooden tents and enjoy retreat facilities such as a natural swimming pond, sauna or fire pit. There is room for connection with each other and nature, for example during a VELD chef's dinner or by harvesting and cooking from the land themselves. The communal breakfast table provides opportunity for new connections, while the pantry and honesty bar invite local exploration with homegrown items and beautiful regenerative products from nearby.
Visitors playfully experience the fully regenerative environment of VELD, which is designed to have a positive impact on the environment. Thus, visitors experience an adventurous stay in complete harmony with nature.
Regeneration as a common thread
It will be clear: everything is about regeneration. Also of our visitors.
By enjoying and unwinding. But also by experiencing the power and beauty of feral nature and allowing the holistic regenerative environment to be a source of inspiration and enlightenment. By exploring and learning. And thus strengthening the connection to our own inner nature and being open to growth and change.
This is how we help nature, and nature helps us.
