Our goal is to restore nature in the Netherlands. But not only that. Just as important is our aim to contribute to a regenerative society. By creating a deep appreciation for nature and our connection to it. And by promoting knowledge, love and positivity about a lifestyle in harmony with nature. In order to initiate person by person change and work together to restore and renew our society.
Vision
We believe that:
Nature restoration can and should play a major role in countering the climate crisis & that the Netherlands needs more wilderness.
Regenerative living makes an important contribution to the health of people and society.
Inspiration, knowledge and positive experience encourages people to take action toward a more sustainable lifestyle.
That many (small) individual changes in behavior and thinking together can facilitate larger systemic change.
AND that living in harmony with nature has much beauty and goodness. Without concessions. That is what we are going to show!
Ambition
We dream of the first place - VELD - as a landscape where nature flourishes and a regenerative lifestyle is integratedly present and openly shared.
Where everyone has access and is welcome.
Where each person has space to find inspiration and form ideas about what a regenerative lifestyle can do for them.
This first site acts as a catalyst for a network of regenerative recreation sites such as VELD. Each site shares the same mission and vision, but differs in interpretation, tailored to local ecological and social issues. And is authentic and unique, thanks to the vision of the entrepreneur.
The network offers substantive and financial reinforcement, without losing the individuality of each place. So no uniform organization, but a collection of small, local and authentic initiatives that reinforce each other. The offer varies, but the goal remains the same: regeneration on an ecological and social level, as well as for people as individuals.
