We are Anne-Marijn and Veerle, founders of VELD.
That question above is the core of our motivation. Out of a deep commitment to people, animals, and nature, and from our experience as mothers, we developed a desire not only to care, but also to actively contribute to recovery.
For Anne-Marijn, this took shape in her encounter with regenerative living: nature turned out to be full of answers—an experience that changed her thinking and actions forever. For Veerle, that same conviction arose from her desire to not just sit behind a screen, but to make a tangible contribution to restoration and connection with the earth.
With VELD , we VELD shaping this together: a place where nature recovers and where people learn, experience, and are inspired to live in greater harmony with nature.
We are not doing this alone: together with a dedicated team of experts in nature restoration, architecture, and hospitality, we are working on the development and implementation of VELD. Their knowledge and experience are crucial to realizing this vision.

Built for impact
Organization
VELD currently operates VELD the VELD Foundation, led by founders Anne-Marijn Bogers and Veerle Verlooij.
As soon as there is visibility (and reasonable certainty) about a location, VELD will be VELD in a foundation-cooperative structure.
The VELD Foundation VELD and monitors the mission, the regenerative business model, and the network. It supports its own and third-party initiatives with knowledge, experience, and resources.
VELD is the implementing organization at the location level and is responsible for nature restoration, accommodation, and programming.
Profit serves the mission
Profit is a means, not an end, and is reinvested in nature and society. Investors receive a fair but capped return.
This structure ensures that VELD its locations remain independent and exist solely to serve the mission. The cooperatives enable sound economic implementation, while the VELD foundation monitors VELD social and ecological objectives.
Rights nature & society
Nature and community are official stakeholders and are entitled to a share of the profits. The area remains protected for future generations.
Flexibility for the future
The structure allows for long-term partnerships and can grow with them, for example to a commons model.
Self-governance
Decisions are made by the team that works at each location on a daily basis. This ensures that expertise and commitment are central.
