We are Anne-Marijn and Veerle, founders of VELD.
That question above is the core of our motivation. Out of a deep commitment to people, animals, and nature, and from our experience as mothers, we developed a desire not only to care, but also to actively contribute to recovery.
For Anne-Marijn, this took shape in her encounter with regenerative living: nature turned out to be full of answers—an experience that changed her thinking and actions forever. For Veerle, that same conviction arose from her desire to not just sit behind a screen, but to make a tangible contribution to restoration and connection with the earth.
With VELD , we VELD shaping this together: a place where nature recovers and where people learn, experience, and are inspired to live in greater harmony with nature.
We are not doing this alone: together with a dedicated team of experts in nature restoration, architecture, and hospitality, we are working on the development and implementation of VELD. Their knowledge and experience are crucial to realizing this vision.

Profit serves the mission
Profit is a means, not an end, and is reinvested in nature and society. Investors receive a fair but capped return.
To secure its goals, VELD is steward owned, fully serving its mission. The legal structure provides the right foundation and secures the principles below in its legal DNA.
Rights nature & society
Nature and community are official stakeholders and are entitled to a share of the profits. The area remains protected for future generations.
Flexibility for the future
The structure allows for long-term partnerships and can grow with them, for example to a commons model.
Self-governance
Decisions are made by the team working daily in VELD . Thus, expertise and commitment are central.
Organization
VELD currently operates VELD the VELD Foundation, led by founder Anne-Marijn Bogers.
As soon as there is visibility (and reasonable certainty) about a location, the legal structure will be reorganized:
Stichting VELD: Aims to safeguard the mission and vision. At the first location, but also at subsequent locations in the network. The driving force behind the Network with a (Dutch) nationwide focus. Has a golden share in the cooperative, which gives it a decisive say in the direction and safeguarding of the mission.
VELD : Owner of the land. Responsible for carrying out the work that VELD the mission and vision of the VELD Foundation at the first location. Focus on one specific location and locally anchored.
Our governance is laid down when VELD is established.
